The First Interactive Political Demonstration. In September 2013, as mainstream parties ran interchangeable campaigns with predictable promises, we developed an innovative interactive campaign for the German satire party Die PARTEI. The iDemo became the first interactive political demonstration, blending creative direction, digital engagement, and real-time audience participation — allowing supporters to express exactly what they wanted live on site.
Results
Over 25,000 demands were submitted, with thousands participating on-site and more than 80,000 viewers following the live stream. The campaign received significant media coverage. Most importantly, Die PARTEI achieved 0.2% of the vote in 2013, their best result since World War II, effectively preventing the FDP (4.8%) from re-entering the Bundestag.

The best demands didn’t just make it to the demonstration — they were later published in the book “Bundesliga raus aus Afghanistan.” According to the (always reliable) Amazon reviews, it’s “a must-have for every sophisticated guest bathroom, a beacon of collective intelligence, a triumph of common sense, and a shining example of grassroots brilliance.”
